The Sun Valley Center for the Arts has announced that noted author Antonya Nelson will be this year’s guest instructor at its annual Writers Workshop.
The workshop will be held June 17–21 and registration is open now at www.sunvalleycenter.org.
Smaller than many writers workshops, the Sun Valley Center for the Arts workshop offers an incredible opportunity for one-on-one critiques with critically acclaimed writers in Idaho’s magnificent Wood River Valley. The workshop is open to intermediate to advanced fiction writers and a manuscript must be submitted by June 3. Cost is $350 for Sun Valley Center members and $400 for nonmembers.
Nelson, a professor of creative writing at the University of Houston, is known primarily as a short story writer but has also published four novels: Talking in Bed, Living to Tell, Nobody’s Girl and Bound. In 1999, The New Yorker selected her as one of the “twenty best young fiction writers in America today.”
