Tracing one’s family history is an increasingly popular pastime now that the internet has made so much information available. In a one-evening workshop offered by the Sun Valley Center for the Arts, Donna Voyles shows you how to navigate through genealogical websites to uncover names, dates and places. Be warned—once you get started it’s hard to stop!
An Idaho native, Donna took her first class on genealogy when her second child was born. After her four children grew up, she got serious about finding out more about her family and is now director of the Family History Center at the LDS Church in Hailey. She has also taught genealogy at the College of Southern Idaho.
Tracing Family History with Donna Voyles meets on Tuesday, February 5 from 5:30 to 8 pm at The Center, Hailey. Cost is $30 Sun Valley Center members / $35 nonmembers. Sapce is limited; register online at www.sunvalleycenter.org, call 726.9491 ex 10 or stop by The Center in Ketchum.
This one night workshop is a part of the multidisciplinary project, Crossing Cultures. For details on all Crossing Cultures programs, visit www.sunvalleycenter.org.
