This weekend's upcoming music offerings feature another impressive array of talent -- including a band from Boulder, Colorado.
Tonight (Thursday) will see a return to The Silver Dollar Saloon in Bellevue (101 S. Main/788-2900), from 5-7 p.m., of the very talented George Marsh, as well as a return there on Friday evening (from 9:30, on) of that terrific blues band, The Swamp Cats.
On Friday, at Hailey's Powerhouse (411 N. Main/788-9184), the southern folk-rock jam band, Dr. Tom's Alchemy, will take the stage there, starting around 6 p.m.
Also on Friday in Hailey -- at the Sun Valley Brewery (202 N. Main/788-0805) -- Army Of Pines performs, with music slated to start at 8:30. And on Saturday night at the Brewery, Thor Dickey & Friends (aka, singer Lia Rose, and also Old Death Whisper's Chuy & the Melancholy Cowboy) will be the featured players (music starts around 8 p.m. that night).
At Whiskey's here in Ketchum (251 N. Main/726-5297/ http://www.WhiskeyJacques.com ), Jonathan Warren & the Billy Goats will be the featured attraction -- part of The Gathering Film and Music Festival afterparty there this weekend -- while on Saturday evening at Whiskey's it will be the Boulder, Colorado-based band, Whiskey Blanket.
Also on Saturday evening, up at Redfish Lodge ( http://www.RedfishLake.com / 774-3536), the annual Fireman's Ball will take place, featuring the band Jonathan Warren & the Billy Goats. Proceeds from the silent auction and ($10) ticket sales will benefit Sawtooth Valley-area firefighters.
And on Sunday, up at Sun Valley Resort's Duchin Room (622-2145), the Leana Leach Trio (featuring John Northrop on guitar, and Jason Vontver on drums) will perform from 8:30-12:30.
And that's just some of the musical fun that awaits avid music-loving residents and visitors alike this week in the Wood River Valley. Enjoy!!! :)
