STEVE JENSEN will be in attendance tomorrow for his solo exhibition, TRANSFER,during gallery walk from 5:00-8:00 p.m. This provocative show uses the symbolism of “boats” to represent the journey of the individual, be it a physical, emotional, or spiritual, to another place. TRANSFER includes sculpture, paintings, and carvings---and incorporates recycled glass and wood, boat resin, oil paints, driftwood and steel---to create art that evokes a sense of timelessness. His personal commitment to sustainability is reflected in the use of recycled, renewable materials. The combination of natural elements is intriguing and his intuitive sense for design in the carvings and glass is beautifully executed with a strong sense of sophistication. TRANSFER is on view through 30 September. .
