Meet the artists Thursday or Friday night. Lawrence Fodor and Chris Richter will be present for a Preview Reception 6:00-7:30 PM tomorrow evening, and at the gallery walk on Friday night 5:00-8:00 PM.
Fodor and Richter use nature as a point of departure for their painting, drawing extensively on the ever-changing environment, which has a strong influence on their work – albeit distilled into the language of abstraction and suggestion in painting. Infinite Sequence references the myriad variety in nature and the permutations inherent when combining multiple pieces of art in an installation. When considering this multiplicity in nature in conjunction with the combination of both artists’ work, there is a resulting reflection and a mirroring of mathematics, progressions, sequences, and the infinite aspects of creativity – squared.
