One meaning of “alchemy” is transforming plain substances into gold. In Lauren Mantecón’s workshop, Alchemy of Mixed Media and Ideas, the magic happens with glue, paint and paper—mixed with a big dose of imagination.
Workshop students will learn how to combine a range of materials into something larger than their parts. Spontaneous exercises, group discussions and critiques will reveal new ways to approach technique and process. This is an excellent workshop for those seeking to expand their art practice and stimulate their hidden muse.
