The highlight of the winter season is a compelling exhibition by premier glassblower WILLIAM MORRIS, opening tonight for gallery walk. The Gallery is honored to present this largest exhibition since his retirement in 2007, including works from his personal archives that have never been shown before.
Morris is a revolutionary and provocative artist whose work goes beyond mere craftsmanship to touch the souls of its viewers. From artifacts and vessels that evoke centuries long past, Morris created with a sense of discovery. Sculptures in glass look like metal, bone or stone --- by appearance, they might have been recovered from an archaeological site or recovered from an ancient cave. Gallery walk is 15 March 5:00-8:00 p.m.
